Earlier this summer I wanted to get in shape - namely lose a few pounds. So I decided to take a close look at my habits. I realized that I had become a slacker. I had slacked on my nutrition and slacked on my workouts - a little slipping had become a way of life.
To my point - I had to make my nutrition and my exercise a part of my life like drinking water or sleeping.
This brings me to my point - If you want to improve, you must start making golf a part of your life. Yes you must eat it, drink it, and sleep it. I know this sounds a bit addictive however, you must remember that you are trying to create a habit and habits have compulsive qualities about them.
Here is a suggestion to improve. Schedule it. This is what I had to do for 3 months. I had to schedule meals and workouts and make them as important as my business appointments.
Do this for three months to a year and see what happens. Start scheduling your practice and "golf time" and make it a healthy part of your life. Also do this with your health, fitness and nutrition. It soon becomes a way of life.
