Guys,

I know we have had a long thread on various GPS units available. I have one of the original Sky Caddys....my battery is dying and I will not renew next year. There has been too many times that the distance to a bunker or hazard is not charted. I am familiar with those units that can be downloaded to a SmartPhone but know that they will drain the battery in the course of a round. I have seen the UPro from Callaway but the screen seemed small and was tough to read on a bright sunny day (not that we have many in NE Ohio, lol).

Is anyone familiar with the OnPar unit which is said to have a larger, non-glare screen? There also is no charges for downloads. I like the "fly-over" or pictorial of the hole feature as well as a point and click to any site for distance to that site and then to the hole capability. Are there any other such units available? I am not interested in charting the course myself as there are plenty of times I play a course just once. If I had a steady hand I may consider a laser but would prefer a gps.

Thanks for any input.

Steve
