What is the proper way to measure the shaft length? My new Adams irons are shorter than my old NGs and I want to make sure that I got what was ordered.

Shaft length is measured from the bottom of the heel to the top of the grip (one end to the other).

99% chance your 5 iron NG graphite is 39.25 inches (as most are that we measure). For a 6 ft tall individual, that would be at least .5 to 1 inch too long (depending on arm length).
