Impact Problem - I could use some advice. Almost every time I hit my driver, it goes high to the right, maybe 125 yds and falls. I know I can hit the club because 2 weeks ago I was crushing the ball 240 yds perfect down the middle. Know I have seem to lost the swing. I have studied my tapes over and over, watched the dvd Troubles and Solutions over and over, I even take a portable DVD player to the range and stop and watch Todd demonstrate between swings. I just can not seem to hit the driver anymore. I believe my set up is correct, my grip is correct, I am at wits end guys. Again all the driver does is go high to the right, maybe 125 yds if I am lucky. I am also a right handed golfer. If anyone has input as to what I might doing wrong, I could certainly use it.

Sometimes when my driver is going weak right it is because i am not cocking my wrists in the backswing. If I just stiff arm my driver and just try to guide the shot (normally because i fear trouble) I do not get the clubhead to release into the ball with full force and the drive then goes weak to the right.

As you were hitting them good a few days/weeks ago and this issue just started chances are you are sliding forward as you hit the ball. In other words, you are laterally sliding forward (your head (on your body)) is moving forward prior to impact causing a steep / downward blow on the ball with an open club face.

Work on your hands/arms leading the shot. Your head should actually go down and back slightly at impact (counteracts / balances the arms going through impact) and then at release, etc.. your head/body will go forward.

Make sure you aren't starting to slide forward through the shot prior to impact - check ball position to make sure it hasn't gone too far back in your stance....

You may also want to send in a video of your swing... we could tell you in just a couple of seconds what is going on with the swing...

Good Luck,
