"Little Moe" Signature School April 2008 Instructional Newsletter Issue #76 Hello Everyone, Happy Master's Week Everyone!
Spring has sprung - golf season is officially here - it's Master's time again!!! Spreading the word Help us share the word about Moe Norman with the golf world!
If you find something in this Etip particularly helpful, share it with your friends. Just click button below.
Thank you for your help in spreading the word about Moe Norman's simple and effective swing! Feeling of Greatness Training Club - FAQ's Have received quite a few questions this past week (not sure why... maybe because golf season is here..) about our training grip club. Wanted to clear a few points up about the training grip club:
1. - It is a graphite 6 iron with the training grip that is molded with markings on the grip and markings on the shaft of the club. 2. - The club was DESIGNED by Todd Graves at the Graves Golf Academy. 3. - It CAN and SHOULD be hit, like any other club in your bag. 4. - It is a grip set up to put your hands on the club EXACTLY like Moe gripped his club. It is set up to leave no doubt as to how you should grip your clubs. 5. - A proper grip is the KEY to a great golf swing. Without it (a good grip), guarantee you will fight consistency in your swing. 6. - There is an instructional DVD that is included with the Training Grip Club to show you how to use the club, proper grip, what the markings are for, etc..
No question, no doubt, used properly along with the leverage bag and hitting balls - it is the ULTIMATE training tool the GGA offers.
If you would like to see more information and instructional video clip about the GGA Training Grip Club you can click HERE. and/or please feel free to call or email us anytime.
Hopefully this answers some of the questions you have about this training tool.

MAJOR GGA ANNOUNCEMENT! The Internet Golf Academy by Scott Renfrow and Dave Predzin On March 12th, we announced what is likely the most significant program in our history, the Internet Golf Academy. This program will revolutionize your ability to get personalized, one on one instruction from the Academy, and we are VERY excited about being able to get you the instruction you desire whenever you need it.
If you didn't see the announcement of the program, click HERE to view it in it's entirety.
Why are we so excited about this program? Simple, you can now get personal lessons from "Little Moe" Todd Graves, Tim Graves and the GGA staff, no matter your geographical location! Friends, that is HUGE.
In addition, the two most frequent questions / comments we get from you, our students are these:
1 - After I've been to a school, what do I do now?
Answer: Get continual feedback and stay on "path" with the Internet Golf Academy.
2 - I have the instructional videos and training club, but just can't get to a school, what should I do?
Answer: Reinforce your video and training club work with the Internet Golf Academy.
From our (GGA's) perspective, this program will allow us to help you get better each and every day, as opposed to 'back sliding', which we see all too often in our schools. Friends, we cannot begin to impress on your strongly enough how important the Internet Golf Academy is in helping you reach whatever goals you have with the game.
The only limitation of this program is the number of spaces we have available. We are limiting the participation to 100 people, and at the time of this writing, we are about 60% full.
To give you an example of the power of what the Internet Golf Academy can do, Dave Predzin, GGA Master Instructor, PGA(a), and USGTF wanted to share with you his own story:
After 25 years of frustration with my conventional golf swing and game I decided to take the plunge and learn what appeared to be a simpler, more efficient golf swing and approach to the game - Moe's way.
As I begin working with Todd and Tim I quickly discovered that simpler did not equate to simple. I had a very tough time learning to change the way I was swinging the club. The first thing I learned through way too much trial and error was what I thought I was doing in my golf swing was nothing close to what I was doing in my golf swing. My feelings and perceptions were not matching up to reality. The use of video was invaluable in this area. I also discovered one of my biggest obstacles and distractions turned out to be the golf ball, it would trigger my old swing pattern each time I tried to implement a change. Here's an example of how I learned to overcome these problems:
I used to take the club back well past parallel in my backswing and I wanted to shorten it. I found I had to exaggerate by trying to make what felt like a ¼ length backswing (hands no higher than my right hip), this enabled me to make what most golfers would equate to a ¾ length backswing (club shaft just short of parallel at the top). And after several months of working on this I found that my feelings began to match up much closer to reality. The other thing I had to train myself to do was to forget about the golf ball. Like many of you I thought I was special, that I could cheat the process of making changes and the results would immediately be perfect, not exactly. Over time the changes stopped feeling weird and uncomfortable. I began to relax and my ball striking improved.
What I was told repeatedly by Tim and Todd (apparently I had a hearing problem) and eventually learned was that the process of changing any aspect of my golf swing had to include two things: gross exaggeration of whatever it was that I was trying to change and a total disregard for what the golf ball was initially doing.
Good luck!
Dave
To see full information on the Internet Golf Academy, please visit the Internet Golf Academy page on our website. On that page you will see a "How to" video, which will walk you through step by step on how to get set up and use the IGA, and a sample IGA lesson from a gentleman in New Zealand. In conclusion, when you watch the sample lesson on the website, keep this in mind, the gentleman in the video improved his scoring by an average of 15 strokes per round. His quote to me, "I haven't been this excited since my wedding night".

Lesson Learned from PGA.com by Tim Graves, PGA I had the privilege to be asked by Turner Sports News Media and PGA.com to write this weeks "Lesson Learned". We are very pleased and proud to announce our partnership with PGA.com and look forward to many ventures with them in the near future.
This opportunity gave us the opportunity to share Moe's thoughts and wisdom with more golfers across the world....
You can view this week's Practice Tip and PGA.com "Lesson Learned" at: http://www.pga.com/2008/instruction/features/04/06/shellhouston_graves/index.html
For all those who are recently joined us (after reading PGA.com article, etc..), to answer a lot of your questions of where to begin your journey to great golf as so many GGA alumni/students have done, please see out 'Path to Great Golf' on our website. It outlines a step by step approach to improving your game to whatever level you desire.
Also, we recommend talking to many others just like you who are currently "on the path" to great golf and many who have SIGNIFICANTLY improved their games - you can see/talk to them at www.moenormanforum.com. This is our (GGA) forum for those interested in finding out more about Moe and how to get better.
Always enjoy hearing everyone's comments.
Remember - Always Practice with a Purpose.
Good Luck!!
Moeisms - the wit and wisdom of Moe Norman Thoughts during his swing: "I'm trying to get the iron in the hole, that's what I'm aiming at. I'm hole oriented, not green oriented."
