"Little Moe" Signature School
March 2008 Instructional Newsletter Update
Issue #75A

Hello Everyone,

Happy Spring Everyone!!

We just got back from our 3rd series of schools in Orlando and will be returning for our 2nd couples school this week. Busy, busy, busy - but a good busy - meeting a lot of new GGA students and helping a lot of alumni also. In fact, this past series, we held our first ever GGA Alumni Camp - was a great time!! Actually solicited some help from these GGA alumni to help all of you with your games - included in this etip's Practice Tip.
Spreading the word

Help us share the word about Moe Norman with the golf world!

If you find something in this Etip particularly helpful, share it with your friends. Just click button below.

Thank you for your help in spreading the word about Moe Norman's simple and effective swing!

MAJOR GGA ANNOUNCEMENT!
Graves Golf Academy Instructors now available in your hometown"

In my opinion (Tim's) - this is one of the biggest projects - if not biggest, project we have undertaken since the inception of the GGA.

Since the inception of the GGA, many of you have expressed the desire to have the Graves Golf Academy's instruction available to you in your hometown. Or if you have attended a GGA school in the past, you surely thought on the last day, "What do I do next?".

Since the beginning, we have worked hard to reach as many of you as possible through our traveling golf schools, Mail In video programs, and other distance teaching methods.

Now, thanks to our partnership with Interactive Frontiers, the company who produces our golf swing analysis software we use at all our schools/camps and in our academies, we can provide you with the instruction you have sought over the years, all from the comfort of your home.

You read that correctly. You can now receive personalized, one on one instruction from "Little Moe" Todd Graves and the Graves Golf Academy staff any time / any where you want!!!

If you would like more information on the GGA Internet Golf Academy (IGA) (Questions/Answers, sample lesson, more information, facts, etc..) please go to our Internet Golf Academy page on the website.

Now, you can get a one on one lesson ANYTIME with the GGA.

The only "catch" - we can only take the first 100 who sign up for the program. As this is a "lesson based" program - we must limit the number of participants. Therefore, if you would like to participate, I would strongly recommend to consider registering in the near future. (After the first announcement last week, 1/2 the spots are filled).

Once you sign up for lessons, the time frame to use the lessons does not start until you have submitted your first video. Meaning (for example), if you sign up for a 4 lesson package (used within a year) and the time period doesn't start until you submit the first video.

FOLKS - This is the WAVE OF THE FUTURE!!!! This is how most PGA professionals receive their instruction from their personal coaches on a weekly/monthly basis - now we are able to offer this same program to our students. It is an amazing program which we guarantee will help you improve your game IMMEDIATELY!!!!

We were privileged to be invited by V1 and Interactive Frontiers at this years PGA show to be trained and certified in the Internet golf academy - which we are now offering to you.

If you have additional questions, please feel free to email Scott at scottr@swinglikemoe.com or call us anytime at 866-377-2316 or 405-823-9693.

As they say in the "big time" - now there are NO excuses to get better!!!!
GGA "Know Moe" Contest - Win a GGA Build Your Game Camp, GGA Merchandise and more. - LAST CALL

Last Call for the "Know Moe" Forward Contest continues until the first of April. The middle of January, we (the GGA) sent everyone an email that anyone interested could forward to "golfing buddies" that might be interested in knowing more about Moe. The email contained the ESPN piece about Moe and other GGA information. Every time you forward the email, you are entered in our contest. In other words, forward 10 times, you are entered 10 times. We have had great response.

See the ESPN Piece on our Moe Norman tribute page.

The contest continues and the winners (Build Your Game Camp ($2,700 value) and other GGA merchandise up to $500)) will not be decided until the end of March. Meaning, you still have plenty of time to forward the "Know Moe" email to those golfing buddies and get entered (or additional entries) into our contest. Remember - the more you forward, the more times you are entered. Also realize, it only takes one forward to be entered.

If you are interested, and need another copy (email) of the "Know Moe" Email - please email Scott at scottr@swinglikemoe.com and he will get you one ASAP.

Thanks for you help in getting EVERYONE to "Know Moe" and good luck!!!!

Experience Talks
by Tim Graves, PGA

This past week, we held our first ever Alumni Build Your Game Camp. It was a camp for those who had attended at least one GGA Build Your Game Camp in the past... but to be honest, without exception, all 10 participants had attended not just one camp, but at least one camp and one 3 day school - some have attended many. Before I go further, I want to give some "general" background about these participants in order that you can better understand where they have come from and hopefully their experiences will help you on your journey to MUCH better golf....

Of the 10 participants:

1. All have attended at least one GGA Build Your Game Camp and one GGA 3 day school.
2. They have been working with the GGA for an average of 3 years (range 1 year to 8 years).
3. Their average age is 61 (range 45 to 72)
4. Occupations range from a roofer, doctor, investment advisor, lumber yard owner, engineer, small business owners, etc..
5. Starting handicaps (before working with GGA) - Average: 22.2 (range from "Never breaking 120" (or 40+) to an 8)
Current handicaps (since working with GGA) - Average: 7.1 (range from 18 to a 2)
6. In other words - the handicaps for the group have decreased an average of 68% since working with the GGA. Meaning, if you were part of this group and before you started with the GGA, your handicap was a 25 (shot 95), now it would be a 8.
7. Without exception - all felt like they were going to lower their handicaps this upcoming year even more significantly.
8. Practice time - some practiced every day, some only a few times a week.
9. Residence range from Canada to Florida (and basically everywhere in between...)

Why do I list all this - because I want you to realize - these individuals are VERY average except for one GLARING point - their significant reduction in their handicaps... in fact, if you consult the USGA handicapping system, their calculations/tables will have a hard time keeping up with these significant reductions.

On the last day of the camp, I asked the participants to help me help you........ as I knew how much better they were getting and how they "enjoy spreading the word" of Moe - I asked them to give everyone who reads our etips some advice.

I presented it to them this way, "If you were teaching your best friend, your brother, your child, your wife/husband, or all the above, how would you tell them to start?" "What path / plan would you present to them to get them on the same path you are on?" "Let your trials and errors help others to better golf...."

I asked them to list 5 things EVERYONE needs to do to learn Moe's single axis swing and to get better (much better in their cases) at golf.

Here are a few of the their responses (I will also list a few more in upcoming etips)..... in other words, here are the "Experienced GGA Alumni Giving Their Advice to Help You":

Alumni #1 - "I never broke 100 before Swing Like Moe, considered myself "World's Worst Golfer" - now shooting in high 70s to mid 80s"

1. Study the Total Game Overview

2. Use the Training Grip Club and Video - review often

3. Attend a GGA school

4. Study Troubles and Solutions and review for drills

5. Build Your Game Camp and/or 7 Principles of Golf Improvement Videos

Alumni #2 - "I started with wide range of scores, lots of high scores (95 to 100+), now a 9.2 handicap with only 2 of last 20 rounds over 90. On the verge of going low."

1. Commit to Moe's Swing

2. PVC Drill - Use Training Grip Club and Leverage Bag - grip, grip, grip, set up - master them

3. Study 7 Principles DVDs

4. Go to a GGA 3 day school

5. More PVC drill and Training Grip Club

Alumni #3 - "I started with scoring from 120, now down to mid 80s / low 90s. I have come a long way, and have a way to go yet."

1. Look over the video clips on the GGA website

2. Visit the Moe Norman chatroom ( www.moenformanforum.com ) to see it's not just me!!!

3. Get the Total Game Overview Video - review often

4. Go to a 3 Day School

5. Get the Training Grip Club

Alumni #4 - "I went from a 18 handicap before the GGA, to now a 7"

1. Make a commitment. GGA is easier, not easy.

2. Get the videos and training club and impact bag.

3. Find a nearby alumnus to work with.

4. Go to a school. Don't forget the methods, they work - TRUST it.

5. Work, work, work - and use VIDEO feedback (quickest way to improvement).

We don't list these to "pat ourselves on the back" (even though it does feel good.......), we list these to HELP you. If you want to talk to these alumni yourself and ask them for yourselves, please do so - they are MORE THAN HAPPY to help you - just go to www.moenormanforum.com . Folks, these are "normal" "average" golfers who are DESTROYING the "conventional" theory to getting better at golf..... in other words, they are getting significantly better, reaching their goals and setting new ones they only dreamed of a few years ago.... and having a lot of fun doing it!!!

If you don't want to listen to us and our suggested path, listen to them.... they are proving how to get better every day!!!

Last story (at least for this etip) - on the 3rd day of the camp, Todd through a "wrench" in the curriculum for our alumni. He had them perform a ball-striking demonstration for us (the instructors). In other words, each alumnus got up in front of all 6 instructors and the other alumni and performed a ball-striking demo describing their swing, what they were working on and what they wanted to accomplish.

I was a witness - IT WAS AMAZING!!! Actually, was pretty exciting to myself and my instructors. The alumni were fantastic. Without exception, each and every alumnus pulled it off. They hit good shots (many great shots), knew their swing, described their issues.. was GREAT!! If you only saw them a few years ago, and to see where they are now......... each and every one of you would follow their path to GREAT GOLF!!!!

I will definitely write more later about this camp - you can read more about the alumni camp (written by the participants) at http://fuzz2moe.forumco.com/topic~TOPIC_ID~7572.asp or http://fuzz2moe.forumco.com/topic~TOPIC_ID~7558.asp

Want to thank all those that attended - we had a Blast teaching all of you again - and hope to see you and everyone else in the near future!!!!

Moeisms - the wit and wisdom of Moe Norman

How Moe got his nickname "Pipeline Moe" [The Feeling of Greatness, The Moe Norman Story]

(Ken) Venturi is credited for coming up with the nickname "Pipeline Moe", but he says the story has been embellished. "In those days, the sprinkler line went down the middle of the fairways and I said he was the only guy who could knock down the sprinkler line. The story got twisted and they changed it to pipeline."

Please feel free to comment on this or email any of your favorite "Moeism's" to us if you'd like to share with others....
