| I'm in ...How about you all travelling to Connecticut in May of 2008? Maybe T&T can put it on either end of the Northeast Tour.May is a great time of year, and Fox Hopyard is a beautiful course.I believe they stay @ Foxwoods Casino for those who have any energy left at the end of the day.Let's have some thought...Hick |

I'm mentally There!
But I need a couple of dates to make sure I don't conflict with my "Secretary of State".

I would be interested, too. Late winter/early spring seems like a good time.

I'm in. I'd love it to be early 2008. February starts my "season" with an week-long event and lots of dome work. This year, we are playing February 26 - March 2 in Orlando. I'll do it any time before or after that week. I'll go anywhere.

Russ and all,
It's good to see that there's interest out there. Let me discuss this with TnT and we'll go from there. We don't have cirriculum, an agenda, etc. We'll have to come up with all this.

Guys, This is getting exciting.I like the Baldelli time frame as well. Also,Tim's challenge to come up with agenda suggestions is very intrigueing. As I practice I have been asking myself what would I want the school to be.Any input would be most appreciated.A few maybe silly ideas/thoughts I have had were mini contests/challenges.For example an advanced bunker lesson in AM with breakout practice time, followed by an afternoon contest. Each student gets 3 shots and the winner gets a prize/trophy.Just a trinket and title to simulate executing the lesson under pressure.Like I said silly maybe, but could be fun.
Since this is an Alumni school it should go beyond the classic BYGC.We have time to develop this and should come up with a cool school-hey maybe we should call it that GGA Alumni Cool School.LOL
Lets make this happen!! Chuck |

Chuck,
What a great post! You lay it all on the line and hold nothing back. Like you, I spend a good amount of time on my game....not the amount you do, but a good amount none the less! For the past month, I have felt very stuck in my progress and then deal with considerable frustration in seeing no improvement. Hence, my interest in a 2/3/or even 5 day school, with the hope that I will leave KNOWING what my swing faults are and a PLAN on how to deal with them.
It is good to hear that other people are as serious about their game and deal with similar frustrations! Maybe it is because we are in the RIGHT side of our brains! LOL
Keep the Moe Faith!

I love the contests/games idea. I'll bet we've all hit a great putt, chip, pitch, sand shot, and full swing. Heck, I have days when I hit two out of three great shots. My issue is doing it when I get one try under pressure. My hope would be to leave the school with a mental game that works for me -- preshot routine and thinking. I can imagine Big Break like games ending each day using teams to add to the pressure. I just played an alternate shot event and I really felt the pressure to hit a good shot for my partner.
Is late winter considered Mid-February? :) |

A great idea.
Think that there should be a "standard" of stats so we are all on the same sheet of music and can compare.
I developed a spreadsheet to keep my stats which include: Fairways Hit GIR Putts per GIR Chip - attempt/save Sand - attempt/save Pitch - attempt/save These three give me up and down Total Putts Putting (1, 2 or 3) Driving Distance (recently changed to a block head and gained over 10 yards)
Have I missed anything that should be a good idea to maintain?
Based on Tim's numbers I developed my own goals for each category based on my overall objective of getting to a single digit handicap.

All of us have been in the classroom sessions at previous schools. Hopefully we were good students and know the stats Tim taught. Thus I would not think we would need much classroom instruction. Playing nine holes should be enough for on course observation and evaluation, don't really need eighteen.
Just a couple of thoughts.
I am in and can go anywhere, obviously preferably where there is the best chance of good weather. I like Steve's time frame as well.

Scott, Any chance we could float a locations and a dates and see if there is enough early committment to make this real? If you suggested two or three dates and locations, I could tell you if they worked for me or not. If we found 7 guys that all worked for a place and date, we could lock our schedules in and look for an 8th guy to fill the school and alternates in case someone needs to cancel. My schedule seems clear now, but it will start to clutter-up soon and I'd hate to miss this because of a work-realated conflict.
Did I mention that I like Florida and February before the 26th? :)
