How many lefties are out there that would buy the training club if a left hand model was available - put me down as number one. Also would you pay a reasonable premium if necessary ?
Chuck
p.s. My right handed wife got hers and loves it.Made two swings and said those are the two best shots I ever hit.Amazing what a proper grip can do!!

| I would also buy one and I would be willing to pay extra for it. Knowing Todd I am sure he will put something together for us . |

Just received my "rightie" training club even though I play from the left side. Fortunately I can also play from the right so I'm used to converting everything to leftie.
I just returned from the range where I used the training club and hit a few shots. (nicely, I might add) It only took a few minutes to mirror image to the left side and the grip improved my ball striking dramatically.
When you grip the club this way it is hard to miss a shot.
Congrats to Tim and Todd. Another success.
I'de probably buy a LH training club just to have but the RH club seems to be enuf.

| I have been out of the loop for a while, but still nuts about this game and TGGS. Put me down. I would buy it in a heart beat - just got the last DVD in the 7 principle series - great!!! I skipped the one on building clubs, but when I saw that it included a section on course management I ordered it tonight!!!!! |

| All people are created right handed - only a select few rise above this obstacle. Count me in for a left handed training club. |

So, there are a recognized group of "Lefties" who are looking for the training club. The obvious question begs to be asked - When will thye Left-handed training club be available?
I would love to buy one for my wife, as she is having difficulty with her grip - without the leftie grip, her only choice is to keep tweaking with it until something works for her... Which we all know is NOT the proper way to fix the problem. |

Not lefty but couldn't help reading. Considering it takes about $10,000 to form the mold of a training grip I would figure it would take about $1,000 of you "wrong sided" golfers (just pulling your short hairs, don't kill me for that one, ha ha.) to make it profitable for GGA to produce this club. Don't get me wrong, I hope they can make one for you guys and gals because it really does put you in an "automtically " perfect grip and helps everything else on down the line from there but I think it may be out of the Graves reach right now but I bet sooner or later you guys will get the feeling of greatness. Take it as a fact, you lefties are always getting the short end of the stick. Thats why your all better athletes. Besides using the other side of your brain to get things done you always have to work harder to get to even. Good luck guys and keep fighting. Dan a happy righty. |

Your statement indicating it costs 10K to create a mold for a grip - means the same price has to be paid for a right-handed grip, of which, as I understand it, there has been only two or three runs of approximately 100 grips each. That means there is one heck of a lot of grips to be made to recoup for the right-handed grips too.
My point is: Why do the lefties have to wait months or years for the "new" equipment? Marketers should realize the lefties will come, if they make it. It seems the mentality is that lefties should simply convert and play the "normal way." I would challenge a right-handed player to try converting to the left side for a while and watch how horrid they become - and probably never achieve their maximum potential.
On an issue mentioned at the beginning of the topic - why should lefties have to pay a premium just to get access to the same equipment that righties have?
I understand all the marketing issues. I believe there are more lefties out there than are obvious, who would like to receive the latest and greatest at the same time as the "other side."
NOW, before any of you go off and think I am getting uppity about this, let me say that I am a right handed golfer - by natural bent. However, I did start playing the game as a leftie. Played baseball many years that way and golf simply fell in-line. When I was finally convinced to try the "other side." I found the drives were straighter and longer - on my natural side. SO, natural lefties will also achieve better performance on their natural side, IF they can get the gear.
Okay, I am now officially of this soapbox. |

Ok ,guys since I started this thread allow me to comment on the points both Dan and melhuffman has discussed. First of all the question was not intended to create controversy or put GGA in a tough spot.I am about six months short of being a leftie for six decades. So Dan your comments about getting the short end of the stick have some credence, however from my extensive experience being one (a leftie)it is not always true.Large companies with huge markets like Ping or Taylormade, to mention only two, have always offered us wrongsiders all their latest and greatest.Using your $10,000 number a company selling thousands and thousands of units can amortize $20,000 as easily as $10,000.However, a smaller company like GGA would lose any profit margin they had,but you already know that. The point is, its very hard for a small shop to eek out a living while simultaneously putting out a superior product.GGA accomplishes this as well as any company their size that I have observed. As a side note EDMP stands for Earnings Determine Market Price and my function in life is evaluating how companies make profits. I am personally very motivated to see GGA flourish because they have given me the gift of golf, and I am terrified at the thought of them not being there.Unlike Natural Golf, for example ,the Training Club is the only item they market that I cant have.GGA operates under a business model that sells instruction not equipment. Finally, I know firsthand that Todd and Tim are working on alternative manufacturing methods where the costs are more benign. They may or may not succede but I appreciate their effort.Buy the way if they were a club manufacturer I would not be so understanding.Where there is a will there is a way and I believe Todd and Tim will find it because I believe they care enough to try.Consequently, I would not mind paying a reasonable premium with the market dynamics being as they are.The origional reason for my post was to survey the demand inorder to evaluate solutions. Thanks for listening. |

HAPPY NEW YEAR LEFTIES.... WELL, I'M BACK IN MY YARD AGAIN, HAD SOME 50* DAYS AND IT FELT REALLY GOOD TO SWING AGAIN. I'M FINDING MY ERRORS QUICKER NOW, AND CORRECTING THEM IS BECOMING EASIER. MY AREA GOLF SHOP SUGGESTED A PRO LAUNCH MONITOR SESSION TO MEASURE ALL OF MY MECHANICS TO SEE WHAT'S GOOD FOR ME. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON THIS VENTURE? RIGHT NOW I CAN'T AFFORD TO GET TO TODD AND TIM, SO THAT'S WHY I'M LOOKING INTO THE LAUNCH MONITOR SESSION. ANY WORD ON THE LH TRAINING GRIP YET? TREETOP (if it ain't left, it ain't right) |
