As Club Builder I can not tell you enough how important it is to have your clubs fitted to you. After i make sure the clubs are the proper lenght and grip size is correct. I then take all of my customer on the range with a lie board and check all of the irons.

Hello,

I am a left handed golfer who current owns a set original Pipeline irons from NG. I have 3-SW in the set. I normally carry 6-PW,GW,SW, and History Stick, grahpite regular flex. They have regular flex graphite (Not NG shafts). I have the NG ST Hammer driver 13 degreees. My fairway woods are Adams RPM titanium steel shafts with regular flex with regular graphite shafts (by far my favorite clubs). I use clones of callaway hybrids (20 degree and 26 degree) with regular graphite shafts as a 3/4 and 5 iron replacement. I am 5 feet 9 inches and have a wrist to floor measurement of 34 inches. My hand size is 7 and 5/8 inches. I hit 9 iron about 95-105 and 6 iron about 130 to 140. All of my clubs have the NG ST grips on them. What if any changes would you recommend to shaft flex, grip, or club make up in general?

Nice. Do you know if Moe used the 59 degree lie angle on all his irons, if not could you type out the differet lie angle for all the irons that Moe used ?

Thanks!
p.s. I've changed my lie angle 2.5 degrees flatter, but they still seem too upright to me. I need to stand closer to the ball for them to fit, but then I have shanked the ball from time to time.

59* lie angle was on his 5 iron - rest were set accordingly. Like any other set - lie angles different with different length clubs.

NOT everyone should use a 59* lie angle - that is based on height vs. arm length.

Ok I guess a golf pro would have to help me with calculating lie angle on the other irons then, from knowing the 5 iron they might work out the angle on the other clubs somehow?

59* might not fit me, but I'd like to try it to see..

I have a set of Cleveland CG2 irons, standard length and lie. I know I can change the lie easily enough as they are carbon steel and I know the size I need for grips but what about the lenth? Does the length need to be longer the way NG says? I really like these clubs and would like to keep them. I am 5-10, wear a ML-Cadet glove and measure 35" wrist to floor. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, Tim. I thought about that shortly after posting and filled out the info. I'm waiting for an email now. I would really like to continue using my Clevelands if I can make the correct adjustments. Thanks again.

Why would you want a 4I shaft in a lob wedge.
I would not have any control over my lob wedge with a shaft that long.
Put a 40" shaft in your driver and you will have more control, thats what keeps the ball in the fairway.
