Hi Todd/Tim,
I seem to have a distance problem with my irons vs. my Driver, woods, and hybrids (I play regular flex shafts, and approx. driver swing speed is 95 mph). After attending the 3 day GGA school in Orlando this past March, most of my playing partners have commented how much further I have been hitting the ball off the tee with my driver. As a matter of fact, I have been pleasantly surprised as to the length of some of my drives.
This past July I ordered a set of Adams a7 irons with graphite shafts from Tim. While I have been hitting the 3 and 4 hybrid the same distance as my old ones, my irons seem to be a club shorter (i.e. 6 iron shorter than 150 yds). When I do hit the ball crisply, I take a very deep divot after the ball. The divot starts shallow and ends deeper, sometimes laying the front part of the turf over. I am not sure if this is contributing to the problem.
I am putting together a hitting station in my backyard and also signed up for the yearly IGA. I will be sending videos in as soon as the station is complete. In the meantime I would welcome any comments/suggestions as to the disparity in distance between the driver/woods and my irons.
Thanks, Paul

Sounds like you might be getting "steep" on your golf swing. Assume you aren't taking much divot with your hybrids/fairway woods. Because of that not loosing distance with the longer clubs. If you are taking too much divot - hitting the irons a little "heavy/fat" will definitely loose some distance with the irons.
Will definitely be able to see something with the video you send in... looking forward to it.

Tim,
I think you hit the nail on the head and your assumption is correct. I seem to be able to pick the ball clean with the hybrids/fairway woods, therefore I get decent distance with them.
Thanks for the quick reply. I look forward to sending in videos and working with the GGA staff.
