From: Bruce H. <bruceh****@yahoo.com> Date: Saturday, October 17, 2009 2:30 PM To: timg@swinglikemoe.com Subject: My best round ever! 4 under par 66 Size: 39 KB Yesterday, at my local par 70, 5600 yard golf course, from the white tees, I shot my best round ever, a 4 under par 66.
I had a chance to shoot my 65 age if I could make a 12 foot putt on the 18th hole. I missed it by a few inches. I had 5 birdies and one 3 putt bogie. I hit 14/18 greens in regulation. What is remarkable is that I had my knee surgery only 9 days before and had not touched a golf club except the putter during that time. My first drive was 240 yards down the center and the good shots kept coming all the rest of the holes. I chipped in on the sixth hole for my sole birdie on the front side for a 34 and then I started the back side birdie, birdie, birdie and my last birdie was on the 17th hole. I had one birdie putt of 12 feet and the rest were less than 5 feet. I missed two other birdie chances under 8 feet including the number 1 hole, the 5t,h where I drove 270 yards to the 150 yard marker and the hit a 9 iron 7 feet from the pin.
My 9 day old arthroscopic repaired right knee was perfect with no pain or feeling of weakness. I don’t know what I will do next time but since my two previous rounds before the surgery were in the low 70s on two different courses, I am really encouraged that I may be playing the best golf of my life in the future.
My swing like Moe swing and 5 day camp in San Diego 4 years ago has been the difference.
What was that camp worth? Priceless!!
