I don't want to blame my putter for my inconsistent putting this year, but it never really felt comfortable. It's a Nike OZ mallet putter. I seem to be able to square it okay..but really have trouble with distance. I'll leave long puts way short...short puts I can shoot way past. I just don't have good feel. Since I just started really golfing seriously this year, I have only used a few types of putters. I'm curious about the belly/long putters...but they seem hard to find? I didn't see to many online at typical golf stores (golfsmith/golf galaxy) If anybody has any recommendations I'd appreciate it.
Do the 20'-40'-60' putting drill. Start with 6 balls putt 2 to each mark. When you can consistly putt 2 to each mark an be with in 3' your long putting will improve.

It could be your distance control is related to inconsistent contact with the sweet spot. Tim has some tips on how to improve with drills. Try this before spending $100 plus on a new flatstick.
