Can you clarify for me the correct ball position in relation to the putter head at address? Should the low point of the putter's stroke be such that the blade of the putter is catching the ball on the "upswing" so as to impart a better end over end roll? The best putter in our club recommends this.

Posted - 05/02/2008 : 07:52:15 Also remember we strongly recommend having the ball under your eye line - in other words, to produce the best stroke and to "see" the line you are putting down the best - ball needs to be under your eye line.

The ball should be slightly forward of the center of the stance so the putter can catch the ball slightly on the upstroke. For more info, see Volume 4 of the 7 Principles series.
