When I got back from (foolishly) visiting a place (Iowa) where there is still WINTER (and I caught cold) my order of my Adams clubs were here. Today was the first opportunity to try them out.

Hit about ten shots with each club on the range. I have the 3-5 Boxer, 6-8 Hybrid, 9-LW and the new 3 Wood.

Results were fantastic. High ball flight, very easy to swing. Seemed longer but my range is open with few distance markers and I don't trust my depth perception so I'll defer that judgement to on course use. The Boxers and 3 wood are very forgiving with offcenter hits (noticeable enough to feel, hardly noticeable in ball flight).

Only downside noted was that the irons were a bit easier to Shank than my old clubs, but that may be the extra 1/2 inch length to compensate for my bad back. When I concentrated on what I was doing it was not a problem.

I compared the spec sheet provided by Adams and it matched right down the line to the fitting requirements that Tim developed for me. Also when Tim said they would be shipped promptly, direct from the factory he wasn't kidding. A neighbor had them for me when I returned from my 11 day trip.

If my on-course success is the same as the range I'll have to get the matching driver. It is a really good feeling to be using an instrument that you know is designed to your requirements rather than trying to fit yourself to somebody else's requirements.

As the journey continues I'll provide any other insights I have about these clubs.

I love new clubs!!
I didn't take the oppurtunity to hit the irons but I did hit the driver at the alumni camp and I really liked it. Thats one of the reasons I didn't hit much of anything else. I just can't afford to fall in love with new clubs again. My irons were new last year and I've bought a new driver every year for the past 4 years, so I tried to avoid hitting any new stuff.
Keep us informed on how you like the new sticks. I know Tim was pretty high on the whole Adams lineup of stuff, so you should be pretty happy with those. One of my major criteria is to see what Tim thinks of clubs before I get them.
Have fun, Dan
