I've read about the natural golf swing and about Moe Norman's swing. Also I've seen pics, but I'm confused. I keep reading that in the natural golf set up the right forearm is supposed to be in line with the club shaft but, in pictures of Moe and others, viewed from the front, it is the LEFT arm that is in line with the shaft, just like in the conventional golf set up. Also Moe's swing and other natural golfer's swings are criticised as being unorthodox but there have been plenty of so-called conventional golfers throughout history that look to be just as unconventional as Moe. Lee Trevino and Bernard Hunt (British player prominent in the 50's and 60's) both had flat and short backswings, with not much wrist cock - not unlike Moe's. Also Bob Charles, the New Zealand left hander prominent in the 50's and 60's, also had a short backswing and little wrist cock, although with a more upright swing.
I would appreciate any clarification that anyone can give about which arm is supposed to be in a straight line with the shaft, in the natural golf swing.[/font=Arial][/size=6][/black] |

May I suggest you move this to the full swing instruction section.However,I will add my 2 cents.From the face on view the club aligns with your lead arm,from the side view there is a straight line from your hands through your forearm of the trail arm.Both of these relationships need occur for proper setup.
