Posted - 08/17/2003 : 21:38:11 As some of you might know, I have been working on some advertising on Television and some print media. Thanks to everyone that has helped me so far. Here is my next MAJOR project.
I am attempting to produce the most detailed and explanatory series of DVD's ever produced on Single Plane / Moe Norman's golf swing. I expect it to be about 12 DVD's in length if I format it like I would like. This series will be the "EVERYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE SWING and HOW TO BUILD YOU OWN MOE NORMAN GOLF SWING" as well as the detail to the "SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF BECOMING A SCRATCH GOLFER". If I get on the project now, I will be able to have it finished sometime around Mid October to Early November. It will be the most comprehensive golf swing review and information ever produced on DVD.
Each DVD would be about 20 to 30 minutes in lenght. I will need help funding the project mostly from pre-sellling prior to the production to investor-type help. Would anyone be interested in purchasing this product and what would you pay for it? Thanks for letting me solicit your advice.

Posted - 10/08/2003 : 20:20:39 Tood, I thought maybe just a small start of what you already have. Just taking what you have and make it a audio. For most of us who already have watched your tapes hundreds of times. I could actually visuallize it if i was just hearing it on a CD in the car. Just hearing what you have already said while driving to the course could make the difference the round to be played. Also when inquisitive people ask about the swing i can let them hear a small sample of what is being thaught . I would like to know if thier are any others out there who think this might be worth doing. In the meantime i will think of some topics and get back with you. You should have my 2nd video by now . Let me know hoe it turns turn out. Thanks again . Steve

Posted - 10/07/2003 : 22:03:24 Todd, The DVD's sound like a must have. I am sure that the faithful will pay whatever you think is a fair price. Audio tracks are a good idea, also.

Posted - 10/07/2003 : 09:30:38 Todd, See if technology will let you extract the audio track from the DVD and put it on a CD ROM. I think most of us have CD players in our cars but I could be wrong.

Posted - 10/06/2003 : 23:18:48 I have considered Audio tapes. Let me know some subjects and I will come up with a List. Then I will just do a brainstorming session to see if we can do something productive. I really like those things too.

Posted - 10/06/2003 : 19:51:25 Todd , Have you any thoughts on audio tapes . I for one like to listen to stuff like that, especially when i am driving, it could give one last positive reinforcement for some of us just before the sunday morning match. Kinda like chuck hogan tape from the original lobg package, Thanks Steve

Posted - 10/06/2003 : 17:48:14 After reviewing the first script and First DVD of the package, I am sure the DVD's will be longer than 30 minutes in length. The first ones might exceed and hour in length each. As we further the production, the length will most likely average 45 minutes each. I am keeping the series in a 6 DVD series for a number of reasons.
I want everyone to follow the Principles and be able to review the DVD based on that principle. Secondly, I want people to focus their attention on ONE Priniple at a time where they can watch the DVD and keep thier mind on that subject.
The information on each DVD will most likely be in an ORDER and sequence. One STEP at a time. Once you have viewed the entire package, you will be able to pull a DVD and use it for reference.
I have committed to finishing the entire package over an 8 month period of time which means we should be able to release each DVD every 6 weeks or so beginnig Nov 1.

Posted - 10/06/2003 : 15:19:52 Yes, I would be interested, say in the $125-150 range. If each dvd is only going to be 30 min in lenghth why not put 2 "episodes" on each disk? This would cut production costs, giving a 6 dvd, 12 lesson package. And I like the idea of billing in monthly installments. Keep up the good work! I need to review the dvds I already have from you!

Posted - 10/02/2003 : 21:01:56 I would certainly buy the new "series" and I would have no problem with paying up-front to help pay the production costs. I suspect that most follower of this board would do the same.
Since you asked for our input . . .you have to be careful with the pricing. Sure, there is a handful of loyal followers that would pay $200 - $250 for the DVDs. However, it is my humble opinion that if the DVDs are priced too high, you will not sell enough of them to cover the production. The key is quanity.
Anything over $150, the overall demand will go down.
