Posted - 09/16/2005 : 10:56:48 Folks, it's that special time again to hold another on-line tournament (Fall Moe Classic). I will explain what this is again for those of you that were not part of the forum when we did this several months ago.
The purpose of the on-line tournament is to give folks that don't live close to each other the opportunity to play in a tournament with other Single Axis golfers. There are so many people in this forum that participate that live all over the US and outside of the US and we though it would be fun to coordinate and activity we can all participate in.
Here are the formats we had before - Single man events (handicap based) 2 man scramble 4 man scramble
* In order to keep things as fair as possible we agreed to slect courses that met a specific slope and rating criteria. From what I recall, we had participation from 3 chapters and about 12 to 15 individuals that participated in the single man events.
Please reply to this thread if you are interested in participating in this event. Most likely we will probably shoot for end of October or so to have event so we have a little more than 30 days to plan. |

Posted - 08/14/2007 : 15:08:00 Dave, Looks like that is the plan, Sept. 1 at Great Bear. Kevin is going to get us the tee time. Looking forward to it. Perhaps we should start a new thread as this is somewhat off topic? |

Posted - 08/11/2007 : 10:00:20 Hick, Thats about what I figured, from our dry run over that route going to/from the Moe. We don't have a flight out of Newark till 6:00 pm Sunday, so thats no problem.
Dan, I'm actually going to play so I can get your guy's secrets and spread them around to the WA Bogey Boys, when I get back home. LOL
Dave, Congrats on the newborn. Just missed my birthday on the 10th.
Looking forward to the day. |

Posted - 08/11/2007 : 06:25:33 I will attempt to get away for the day on 9/1. I should be able to find a replacement for me at home, as our daughter was just born on August 9. Great Bear is about 2 hour drive or less, very doable. Hick, free lancing is great, lets everyone share your talents. Dan, would be nice to meet you to, if you are able. Will keep you posted.

If you're coming, the more the merrier. It's about 3 hours from Meriden, also. I may bop on out to your outing there, I have a place to stay up in Haddam, might play Fox hopyard the next day and then back home.
Like you said, the more the merrier. We have a nice little course here but let me warn you , its no where near the Fox Hopyard category. Fox Hopyard is one of Connecticuts best public courses ,You'll love it. Its a bit pricey but I think if you go on Tee times ,com, you can get a little bargain. But Its definately worth it to play at least once, its beautiful. The front sides holes are each so amazing. When I plaid it I was like I never played a hole like that before, and that is for most of the front 9. Its a great place, Ask Tim and Todd, they loved it too. We have the CT. schools there. I'll talk to you soon, Dan |

now you wait just a minute Dave. If I'm going to let my best talent out for traveling teams I may just have to accompany him to make sure there is no silent takeover of my PROPERTY. Keep me informed, I may have to go to keep him out of trouble., Doc |

Posted - 08/10/2007 : 19:36:48 Dave, Kevin, Ron, My wife and I are going to be in Syracuse for the Univ. of Wash. VS Syracuse game on 8/31. I would be available to play in NE PA somewhere on Saturday 9/1 if you guys are available. I was at the Moe with my wife, Annie, you might remember her she took all the pictures on the 14 tee.
I am one of the WA Bogey boys the lost the "trophy" to the NEONSAMS. |

Posted - 08/10/2007 : 19:21:13 So, Hick, does that mean that you are a free-agent, and willing to come to SEPASLM? (That is if a central location is eastern PA...) If you and Kevin get together, I would love to meet you guys. I live south of Kevin, but can travel a bit for some seriously good golf.
