As some of you might know, I have been working on some advertising on Television and some print media. Thanks to everyone that has helped me so far. Here is my next MAJOR project.
I am attempting to produce the most detailed and explanatory series of DVD's ever produced on Single Plane / Moe Norman's golf swing. I expect it to be about 12 DVD's in length if I format it like I would like. This series will be the "EVERYTHING YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT THE SWING and HOW TO BUILD YOU OWN MOE NORMAN GOLF SWING" as well as the detail to the "SEVEN PRINCIPLES OF BECOMING A SCRATCH GOLFER". If I get on the project now, I will be able to have it finished sometime around Mid October to Early November. It will be the most comprehensive golf swing review and information ever produced on DVD.
Each DVD would be about 20 to 30 minutes in lenght. I will need help funding the project mostly from pre-sellling prior to the production to investor-type help. Would anyone be interested in purchasing this product and what would you pay for it? Thanks for letting me solicit your advice.

Todd,
I definitely would be interrested.
I am not good at judging prices for these, but I would pay at least $100.
Also, a suggestion: what about a Holistic Approach to training like Ledbetter?
Exercises, nutrition, visualization etc.?
Would be good for building business, I believe

Todd, the project "Everything You Would Like To Know About The Swing" would be a Must Own series of DVD's for anyone that is dedicated to learning the NG/Single axis swing. I would pay $200 to 250 for the set. Hope you do the project, it would be great. Sooner Stan

I would be very interested in owning a set of your DVD's. I would think somewhere in the range of $100 to $200 would be more than fair. Have yoiu thought of issueing them like a subscription and sell each as it becomes available?

Hmmm... 12 DVD's and roughly $20 each or $200 for the entire set. Or maybe billed monthly to my credit card at $20 a month (that way you know I'm in it for the long haul)
I'd also "suggest" that you do a flyer on this series because I'd like to "sell" it to those I meet. I wish I had the investment side to bring to the table, but with 3 kids in college... i'm investing in higher education right now.

Todd, Your current DVD's are approx. $20/hour of instruction ($65 divided by 3 DVD's). At this rate, a price in the range of $125 would be in line. $200 wouldn't be outrageous, considering the quality of the last DVD's.
The idea of the total cost being billed monthly is pretty good for the average guy, but probably not good for the investor side.
I especially like the "Seven Principles of becoming a Scratch Golfer".
Whatever way you decide to go, I'm in!

I expect production costs (depending on quality) will reach the $20,000 mark. Good Christmas present.

So ideally, we need at least 100 people to prepurchase the set to make it happen. Do you have names/addresses of all that have purchased the original videos/DVD's? You could do a mailing with an online sign up, or email sign up. I would venture to guess that there are several of GGA's students who purchased the video's/DVD's who aren't on this forum, however, if you have their addresses, a post card with the info to pre-order.
Just some ideas.

Todd I would like too. Is it possible to debit a credit card for a set number of months or are you expecting to have it up front all at one time?

Depending on actual costs, I think selling the whole series for around $250.00 is more than fair (this is very cheap compared to other golf series productions!). My suggestion would be to maybe discount it for the 1st 100 who invest into it as a reward for supporting it before production. Another way would be to offer a choice of a discount or a free 1 hour lesson (a very good deal!) with the GGA for those who do the initial investing. I'm already salvatating at the thought of your new production!

I would be willing to go 150-200 range as well.....It would be great to have it deducted monthly from my credit card.....

Yes, we do have the capability to deduct monthly from credit cards, etc.. I assume like most companies, we will give a slight discount to anyone paying in full up front, but definitely will be able to have credit card on file and deduct each month. Many of you probably remember when we put a survey out about a live video conference lesson on a monthly basis. Had alot of great response... issue was that for the live video lesson to work, the student needed to have cable modem access (and as of today, but survey, only between 25 and 30% at most have this access). This is the next best thing to a "live" video lesson.

one last thing--for the guys that have been with you a long time, we don't need slick production....planes, trains, and automobiles is fine......but when you are going after the wider market--folks who have not met you at a school, and for folks that are curious enough, you need a high end polished product like the latest DVD's. Personally, the faster I can get my hands on this information, the better. You guys have the best stuff out there.....get busy so we can buy it! Toby

Todd,
I like the idea of these new DVDs. Sounds like a great concept. The price ranges already mentioned will work for most people.
