It just boggles my pea brain that we have not filled this event..
This is Moe's hometown.. Moe's home course.. Where are ALL the people that fill this forum ???
I missed meeting the man by one week.. He came to the 1st little Moe Invitational at Celebration golf club in 2003. I was there for a 3 day school the week before the Tourney. There was no tourney when I booked my school. So I thought it did not matter which week. By the time I realized there was a tourney, and that Moe would be there. It would have just about doubled the cost of the trip( from west coast ) to try and change everything. I missed that 1st tourney and ran out of time to ever meet Moe. His heath kept him from coming to the 2004 Invitational...Then.. he's gone... Ya know what ?? Hardly a day goes by that I don't regret my decision to not spend the extra money.. I realize now that meeting Moe would have been.. how they say... Priceless..
I fear that many of you folks are going to fall into the same state by missing this Get together.. I hate to see that happen. It does not look like we will ever go to Kitchener again for a tourney. Ya got one shot to get it right. Like me.. You won't meet Moe. BUT you will have the oportunity to meet some of his family. His brother Rich. Nephew Tim.. ( Cool name ) and possibly others.. Retrace his steps of life. learn something more of this man who Impacted so many ..The family is offering the oportunity to go to Moe's graveside.. pay your respects. What a privelege, and an honor.. You will also meet some incredibly awesome people. I am talking about the people playing in the tourney. I have been blessed to meet and get to know people from all over the world by coming to the Moe. Many of who I have had the pleasure of playing with in my home town and their hometowns.. It is AWESOME.. I could literly travel coast to coast playing with friends from the Moe. I would be welcome in their homes and they are certainly welcome in mine. INCREDIBLE friendships.. Because of the MOE. Ya see ? Ya get soooo much more than a week end of golf.
I don't know what is keeping you away. If it's money.. spend it..even borrow it if you have too. You will create a memory that will last long long after you forgot that you spent the money.
If it's because you don't think you have the game to play a Tourney .. RELAX .. It's not a preasure deal. Ya win by showing up.. If you're still freaky about it.. Have Scotty put you in my group.. I'am a total hack...I'll make you look good.. You will have fun.. I gaurentee it..
Don't miss it folks.. Don't live in regret the rest of your life..
None of us get everything in life RIGHT.. But here's a chance to REALLY SHINE... OK ... Stop reading this and go book a flight. get a hotel.( Most of us are at the Raddison ) Call Scotty. Peole walked to Woodstock.. Walk to the Moe if you have to. Get some History in your corner. See ya there.. I'll have dinner with ya, and we'll find someone to stick with the bill.. Timmy D

Most the things I said . I never said.

Thanks Timmy -

As we always say - you guys say it much better than we do...

Listen to him folks... chances are this will be the only time we have the event in Moe's home town... revisting the sites, etc..

Scott has done a tremendous amount of work to set this up... use it to have some fun...

I am bringing my wife and young son - wouldn't want them to miss the opportunity.

Please let us know if you have additional questions,

Well said Timmy, I also never got the chance to meet Moe, but I signed up for this event the minute it was announced. Going to have a blast I know. To me the golf tourney is a bonus, just to be there whith all the SLM'ers (Swing Like Moe) will be great. Those who don't go are really going to miss a great time. Bringing my wife (caddie) and she is also looking forward to it. Going to spend some extra time around Niagra Falls as a bonus bonus.

Looking forward to meeting you, another washingtonian.

Wait until you see the Moe Norman room!

There are signed scorecards showing his 59's witnessed by some huge names too!

There are pictures, trophies and many more memorabilia.

This is a public course, but when I played there a few years ago, the sand was white and fluffy, not like the un-set cement you'd find at some munies!

See you there!

This is a no brainer. Not only are we giving respect to Moe Norman by attending this tournament, but we are showing the same respect to Todd and Tim. This is an opportunity that will not be available again. It is a once in a life time deal. It matters not what your skill level is, this is a means to further expand your knowledge of single axis golf, Moe Norman, and his disciples Todd and Tim Graves.

This is an opportunity that is truly "priceless".

I wish I could be there. I have three sisters and their families flying from three cities for a group vacation in Wisconsin. I worked hard to change the date, but alas, it is the same week as the Moe and planned about as far in advance. I would love to meet the people who make up this forum and honor our model. The closer the Moe gets, the more bummed I am that I'll it and all of you that attend. Hit one for me. If you can go, go for guys like me who wish we could be there. Russ

I envy all of you going. Not in the cards for me with a daughter's marriage and hosting vistors from Norway and Switzerland. Once in a lifetime event, I know. Enjoy it...and am looking forward to reading all the gushing after it's over.
